The company holiday party is the one night a year when the whole team dresses up, brings partners, and actually wants a photo together. A photo booth turns that into something people keep on their desk all year.
It also adds one more vendor to a planner’s December. This guide covers what matters when you book a photo booth for a Houston holiday party: choosing the right booth, keeping the line short, branding the prints, and making sure every guest leaves with their photo.

Book early: December fills in October
Houston’s holiday party season runs from the first week of December to just before Christmas, and Thursday through Saturday nights go first. Many companies, ours included, can run several events a night, but the best dates still fill by late October. If you have a date and a venue, hold the booth now and finalize details later.
Which booth fits a holiday party
| If your party is… | Consider | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A formal gala or black-tie dinner | Glam Booth | Studio-lit black-and-white photos flatter everyone in evening wear. It’s the booth people line up for |
| A large, mixed crowd (200+) | Open Air | A wide frame fits big groups and keeps the line moving quickly |
| A themed or high-energy party | AI Booth | Guests are transformed into styled holiday scenes in seconds, with prints and digital copies |
| A dance-floor crowd that wants video | 360 Booth | Slow-motion video clips shared straight to phones |
| A venue with an elegant, minimal look | Mirror Booth | A full-length mirror that blends into the decor |
Five things that matter more at corporate parties
1. A short line
Nothing kills the mood like a 30-minute queue. Three things keep it moving:
- an attendant who preps the next group while the current one shoots
- a booth that prints in seconds
- enough hours on the booking, so you’re not cramming 200 people into 90 minutes
For more than 150 guests, plan on at least three hours.
2. Big groups
Holiday parties are when whole departments want a photo together. The camera needs a wide enough frame, and the attendant needs to be comfortable arranging 12 people in a few seconds. Corporate reviewers mention this again and again.
3. Branding on every print
A custom print design with your logo, the event name and the date turns each photo into a small piece of brand content that guests post and keep. Send your logo and brand colors early, and approve a proof before the event. See examples.

4. Every guest actually gets their photo
In our research into Houston photo booth reviews, the most common complaint at corporate events was simple: a guest never received their digital copy, or got it days later. Hotel and conference-center Wi-Fi is the usual reason. Ask your vendor how photos are delivered if the venue network is slow or busy. Our booths run on their own hotspot, so texts and emails go out regardless of the venue Wi-Fi. If there’s no signal at all, every photo goes out the same night.
5. A gallery the whole company can see
Guests love seeing everyone else’s photos, not just their own. Ask for a full online gallery you can share in the next all-hands email or on the company intranet. Ours arrives within 24 to 72 hours, while the party is still the talk of the office.
Timing the booth on the night
- Cocktail hour: the best photos happen when everyone has just arrived, still looks sharp, and is mingling.
- During dinner and speeches: pause the booth. Ask about idle-time rates (ours is $25 an hour), which are often less than paying for full service hours.
- After the awards or toasts: the second rush, when teams want group shots together.
Holiday party photo booth ideas that feel considered
- A seasonal print design in your brand colors, with the year. Simple beats clip art.
- Black-and-white for the formal party. It’s timeless, it flatters everyone, and it doesn’t clash with any decor.
- A backdrop that suits the room. Choose one that complements the ballroom rather than competing with it.
- Skip the prop bin. Novelty hats and signs date a photo instantly and pull focus from the people in it. Let the lighting, the backdrop and your team carry the photo.
- Prints as the party favor. Guests take home something they’ll actually keep.

What it costs
Most Houston holiday party bookings fall between $800 and $1,500 for two to three hours with an attendant, prints and digital sharing. Extra hours are typically added for larger guest counts. Our packages are on the pricing page, and the cost guide explains what’s included and where quotes differ.
