About Shutter Island Photo Booth
OUR Story
Shutter Island Photo Booth began in 2018 with one open-air booth, a borrowed folding table and a wedding for friends in Houston. Cyril ran the camera. Rameen ran the line, the prints and the guest book. By the end of the night the booth had outlasted the DJ, and the couple asked the question we have heard a thousand times since: who do we call next time?
We said yes to the next one, and to the one after that. The single booth became a fleet: the Glam Booth for black-and-white, studio-lit photos, the Open Air for the whole bridal party in one frame, the Mirror, the 360, the Spotlight, and the AI Photo Booth for guests who want to be reimagined entirely. What never changed is that the two of us still answer every inquiry, design every print template, and show up to more events than we probably should.
Eight years and more than a thousand events later, we have set up in the Infinity Ballroom at Safari Texas Ranch, in the Museum District at Hotel ZaZa, under tents in Katy and in living rooms in The Woodlands. We have run activations for national spirits brands, a streaming premiere and a global sportswear label, and we have run first birthdays and baby showers. The standard is the same at both.
What separates us is not the equipment, although we are particular about it: real DSLR cameras, studio strobes, lab-quality printers, and nothing that was ever a tablet. It is the detail. We arrive early enough that you never see us set up. The template matches your invitation before you ask. The lighting is dialed for skin tones, not for speed. The attendant is uniformed, knows your run-of-show, and knows when to pause the booth for the toast. And the photos look the way photos used to look: timeless, printed, something you keep.
We are still a family business. The person who quotes your event is the person who answers the phone the week before it, and often the person standing beside the booth that night. It also means we remember. Returning clients get a longer session on the house, planners who trust us with their couples see that trust returned on the floor, and nobody waits more than a day for a reply.

What We Care About
THE Standard
Experience
We have seen what goes wrong at events and plan around it: arrival times, power, lighting in a dim ballroom, where the line forms.
Detail
Templates designed to match the invitation, backdrops tuned to the palette, lighting dialed for skin tones.
Professionalism
Uniformed attendants, insured, early, and quiet about it.
Quality
Real DSLR cameras and studio lighting. The photos hold up printed at poster size.
Range
Comfortable at a high-end wedding and a high-end brand activation in the same weekend.
Follow-Through
A reply within 24 hours before the event, and an online gallery after it.
THE MARRIOTT MARQUIS TO NRG PARK
Weddings at the Marriott Marquis and the Asia Society Texas Center, holiday parties at the Royal Sonesta in the Galleria, a brand activation at Houston Premium Outlets, an event night at NRG Park, and backyard birthdays that mattered just as much. Our work is on the Brand Activations page and in the event gallery.
